Superpower brinkmanship gives way to an uncertain resolution

"Ron Wahid, a defense executive who has been involved in U.S.-Ukraine discussions, said the West has better options than the Tomahawks for pressuring Russia.
'I would prefer that Germany provide Ukraine with Taurus missiles, which can also strike deep targets,' Wahid told me Thursday.
He also suggested a no-fly zone enforced by a coalition of the willing, and actions to disrupt or eliminate Russia’s 'shadow fleet,' which helps Russia evade oil sanctions and has allegedly launched drones at European targets. Wahid is chairman of Arcanum Global, a military and intelligence consulting firm."
